Charles Leclerc: Ferrari is not afraid to experiment

      Charles Leclerc highly praised Ferrari's work this season in modernizing the car. Before the Italian Grand Prix, the Monegasque stated that work on the SF-26 updates is not yet finished, and the team will continue to prepare technical innovations to address weaknesses.

      Charles Leclerc: "We have a very clear development program, and we still want to improve a lot in the car.

      We fully understand the limitations we had in the first half of the season. Right now, we are lacking engine power compared to Mercedes and Red Bull the most, so that is where our main efforts are focused.

      The team has separate divisions that work on the engine, chassis, and aerodynamics, but the entire development program is already defined. We know in which direction we want to move, and that is very good.

      In the first half of the season, there were no particularly unpleasant surprises. With the previous generation car, which scraped the ground, it was much more difficult. Sometimes the car's behavior on the track did not match what we saw in the wind tunnel. This year, that problem is almost non-existent, and that is a very positive signal in terms of further development and future updates.

      This year, we have chosen a very aggressive approach compared to other teams. Firstly, in terms of innovations. It is very nice to see that we are actively seeking new solutions and are not afraid to experiment within the regulations.

      Secondly, we are preparing technical innovations very aggressively. Our production department has done an incredible job in the first half of the season, operating at the limit of possibilities so that we can receive new parts as quickly as possible.

      In a season when car development is at its earliest stage, this is of immense importance. Each update can provide a significant speed boost, so in the second half of the season, we will continue to work in the same manner."
