"I want to participate in all the major endurance races."

Max Verstappen may make another appearance in GT3 this year, as he is now associated with the GT World Challenge finale in Portimao. According to Dutch publication Formule 1, Verstappen is contemplating racing alongside his regular GT3 teammate Chris Lulham during the free weekend following the Singapore GP before heading to Austin for the US GP. The four-time world champion has consistently expressed that endurance racing is a part of his long-term ambitions. "I would like to do all the major endurance races at some point," Verstappen mentioned recently at Zandvoort. "In general, 24-hour races would be exciting to participate in." His possible appearance in Portimao is complicated by the commitments of Mercedes-AMG drivers Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon, who have overlapping WEC obligations. Mercedes-AMG has not confirmed Verstappen’s involvement. "Mercedes-AMG Motorsport cannot confirm whether Max Verstappen will take part in the final GT World Challenge race in Portimao, nor can we confirm that Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella will miss the race," a spokesperson stated. "We are exploring various scenarios to ensure our effective participation in Portimao." Additionally, reports suggest that five-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou is being considered for the project, with claims that Verstappen Racing has reached out to him about a possible drive.
