      Carlos Sainz believes that Williams may perform better in Monza than in several previous stages of the season, although the difference will not be very noticeable. At the same time, he does not fully share the forecasts of those experts who believe that there may be too many overtakes, and we will witness the so-called "yo-yo effect" that engineers warn about.

      Carlos Sainz: "I think it will be difficult for the leader to break away from the peloton, as their car will be the first to hit the air, and then several groups will gradually form, with each driver eventually ending up in the one that matches their pace. And when you are in such a group, it is not easy to break away from it.

      Overall, I believe this Italian Grand Prix will be interesting in its own way. If you want my opinion, I prefer the classic Monza, when engines did not lose part of their power halfway down the straight. Still, I am confident that despite these negative aspects, there are positives now, so I do not rule out that the race will be fun.

      Unfortunately, I do not think our car will perform particularly well in Monza, as this year we have not tested how it behaves with settings for minimal drag.

      The FW48 chassis has very few strengths, which is why its performance frustrates us so much. At the same time, the car has many shortcomings, so we do not expect any miracles. That is the reality, which is why we need to change so much in the preparation process for next year.

      Maybe Aston Martin and Cadillac will manage to overtake us due to higher top speed, but that does not particularly please me. This is not the level we want to be at and where we should perform. For me, there is not much difference whether we fight for 16th-17th place or for 14th-15th.

      Right now, I am concerned about how we will prepare for the stage in Baku, where it will become clear whether the technical innovations work and whether they provide the effect we expect. First of all, we need to find out if our correlation between the calculations made in the wind tunnel and what happens on the track is good. We must be sure of this in the preparation process for the next season – right now, that is the most important thing."
