      Lando Norris llegó a Brasil como nuevo líder del campeonato: hasta entonces solo había encabezado la clasificación individual en las primeras cuatro pruebas de la temporada, pero tras el Gran Premio de Arabia Saudí de abril, Óscar Piastri, su compañero en McLaren, tomó la delantera.

      Dado que la ventaja de Lando es, en el sentido literal, mínima y se reduce a solo un punto, en San Pablo se marca un objetivo muy concreto.

      Lando Norris: «Por supuesto, me gustaría rendir este fin de semana al mismo nivel al que lo hice en México, aunque no será nada fácil, dado el nivel de los rivales. Así que lo que yo espero y cómo resulten finalmente las cosas son dos cosas distintas.

Por eso espero poder rendir con confianza este fin de semana; es bastante probable que todo salga como debe. Aunque en Brasil nunca sabes cómo estará el tiempo, así que en la realidad cualquiera de nosotros puede despuntar.

      En la prueba anterior me demostré a mí mismo que puedo dominar, y eso es gratificante. Sin embargo, no está nada decidido, todavía queda mucho por delante. Quedan por disputarse más de 100 puntos, por lo que el hecho de que yo lidere el campeonato significa muy poco.
