In 2025, the number of stewards at the Grand Prix will change.

The British press writes that the FIA has revised the number of stewards who will work at each stage of Formula 1 in 2025.

In previous years, four stewards worked at the Grand Prix – two FIA stewards, one former driver invited to serve as a steward, and one steward appointed by the national federation conducting the stage. However, according to the upcoming changes in the Sports Regulations, in 2025, only three stewards will work at most stages. At the same time, there will still be four stewards at the six Grands Prix, which are called "high-load" stages.

To do this, the following wording will be introduced into the Sports Regulations: "At each Grand Prix there will be a minimum of three and a maximum of four stewards, one of whom will be elected chairman." It is expected that these changes will be officially approved before the start of the race weekend in Melbourne.

It is reported that the Australian Grand Prix, the Chinese Grand Prix, the Canadian Grand Prix, the Singapore Grand Prix, the Mexico City Grand Prix and the Sao Paulo Grand Prix will be the "high-load" stages in 2025.
