Hamilton: We took a chance with the settings, and we didn't guess

Lewis Hamilton won the qualifying for the sprint and the sprint this weekend, but he was only fifth in the main qualifying and said that the team had made a mistake with the settings.

Lewis Hamilton (5th): "Before qualifying, we made a couple of changes, and we didn't guess – the car was teetering on the edge. And the wind picked up a bit, so it became more difficult to control the car, and the balance was different in all corners.

We made changes, and suddenly, at high speed, the car became unpredictable, and in order to attack here, you need a car that you are confident in when you know that it will not turn around or block it. If it's unpredictable, you just don't have a chance."

Charles Leclair (6th): "The car didn't allow us to achieve more in qualifying. Traction proved to be insufficient. In Australia, I felt that we didn't do a very good job in qualifying and were further away than we had hoped, but if we had put everything together, we could have won back about three tenths. We won back those three tenths today.

Lewis did a great job yesterday, and we both did a good job today. Are there any speed reserves left in the car? Maybe. But three tenths is unlikely. We look forward to tomorrow with hope."
