George Russell: "Yesterday was a good day, and today I hope to compete for the podium. I think there will be an interesting fight between myself, my team-mate Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclair, although I have no doubt that Max Verstappen will perform more confidently today than on Saturday.
At the same time, we must be realistic: McLaren is in a league of its own at this track. Unfortunately, this is the reality today, but we must do our best to compete for positions behind the leaders.
Of course, I never give up the fight to win, and if there is a chance, we will definitely take it. I think the best opportunity to win back positions will be on the first lap, but if Oscar Piastri holds the lead, then we won't be able to catch up with him after that.
McLaren seems to be very confident on tracks where the rubber is prone to overheating, for example, last year they absolutely dominated Sandfort and Singapore. And this season, although the tracks in China and Japan did not suit their car, they still looked very good there.
But we will continue to attack and today we will try to fight for the best possible result, and then we will see what happens."
