Worst qualifying of the season for Ferrari drivers

In qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix, Charles Leclair clocked the eighth time, and his team-mate Lewis Hamilton did not reach the final for the first time in the Scuderia, showing the twelfth result. For both Ferrari drivers, this is the worst qualifying of the season, and they both agree that the SF-25 car has serious problems.

Charles Leclair (8th): "There was something strange with the car in qualifying, something was wrong. For some reason, the SF-25 was out of range altogether. At the beginning of the first session, we had to change a lot to make the car look the way I wanted it to in the final. This is very unusual, but overall, the car was poorly controlled throughout qualifying and the speed was very slow.

It's not the most pleasant feeling, but it is what it is. It's all very frustrating – you're doing your best, and you're only eighth. And driving a Ferrari makes it even more painful. Both Williams drivers are ahead of us, although I didn't make any mistakes. We're just not fast enough.

We're having the worst weekend of the season. The Miami circuit is different from the others – there are a lot of slow turns, and we pay the price for that."

Lewis Hamilton (12th): "We keep trying. It's only the sixth stage of the season, but we already have serious problems. No matter what changes we make to the settings, the car behaves very unstable with each exit to the highway.

We have problems with the brakes, problems with stability and, in general, the car is not fast enough. Just reaching the final of the qualification is already becoming a difficult task.

It's very difficult to earn points when you roll back. We have to work hard in the race, but we will try again. I'm used to fighting, so I'll keep going. Next week we will return to the base and continue.

In the second part of qualifying, I should have used a second new set of tires. But when there are such big problems with the car, it makes no difference what to do with two new sets of tires – use them or dispose of them. But we will talk about strategy with the team."
