Pirelli named the line-ups for Monaco, Spain and Canada
Pirelli has announced the tire compositions that Formula 1 teams will receive at the Monaco Grand Prix, the Spanish Grand Prix and the Canadian Grand Prix.
At the stages in Monaco and Montreal, tire manufacturers will bring three of the softest compounds – C4, C5 and C6, which first appeared in 2025 and will be used for the first time at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola. The use of the softest compounds will allow you to diversify the strategy options in the race.
Overtaking is very difficult on the historic Monaco circuit, so according to the decision of Formula 1 and the FIA, two pit stops will be mandatory in the 2025 race, while maintaining the requirement to use at least two different trains.
There will be a race in Barcelona between the stages in Monaco and Canada. The Spanish circuit is considered one of the most difficult of the season in terms of tire load due to the long straights, protracted fast turns and high temperatures. All these factors together usually lead to thermal degradation of the rubber, so the three C1, C2 and C3 are the obvious choice of compounds for the Spanish Grand Prix. This season, the same trains were used in Suzuka and Sakhir.
