Charles Leclair was the fastest on Friday.
The second part of the free races
Sunny. Dry. Air +24...23C, highway +41...38C
By the beginning of the second training session, the condition of the track had improved, and the asphalt was covered with used rubber. The drivers focused on working with the tyres, assessing the effectiveness of all three trains, as this weekend's race in Monaco will feature two mandatory pit stops for the first time.
The sun was setting and shining in my eyes in some areas, and it was already dark between the buildings and in the shade of the trees.
The speeds increased, and the young riders started making mistakes. Already in the eighth minute, red flags appeared – Isaac Hajjar dismantled the rear left tire against the barrier in the chicane.
Emotionally expressing his dissatisfaction with the blows to the steering wheel, the Racing Bulls racer continued driving after a pause and reached the boxes on three wheels, where he handed the car over to the mechanics. The marshals quickly removed the wreckage and the riders left again.
Ten minutes later, red flags appeared after Oscar Piastri hit the barrier head-on before the first corner. The rider was not injured and drove on without the front wing, the wreckage of which was picked up by the marshals. Soon everyone left again, including Piastri.
At the end of the session, Hajjar hit the barrier again, but there was no stopping of the session.
As in the morning, the record was headed by last year's Monaco race winner Charles Leclair, who completed the best lap in 1:11.355.

The first part of the free races
Cloudy. Dry. The air is +21...22C, the highway is +37...39C
The teams brought an aerodynamic body kit with maximum downforce to Monaco. Many people installed last year's rear wing, which has already proved its effectiveness and allowed them to save money, because such a body kit only works in Monaco.
The condition of the highway left much to be desired. The cars slid, the riders gradually increased their speed, gaining confidence, but in the first practice session no one seriously attacked – first they had to get used to the settings used only once a year and the softest tires – the C4, C5 and C6 trains were brought to Pirelli in the role of Hard, Medium and Soft.
At the tenth minute, everyone had to return to the pits – the session was stopped with red flags after the accident. Stroll missed a slow car in front of Rascasse, then abruptly returned to the trajectory, not noticing Leclair driving behind, and Charles crashed into Lance. Both riders continued driving, but it was necessary to remove the debris. The stewards fined Stroll with the loss of one place at the start and one penalty point.
Leclair's car was quickly repaired at Ferrari, and Stroll's car at Aston Martin had difficulties replacing the rear wing, which would not be removed, and he no longer drove out. Dangerous situations occurred several more times, but the riders managed to avoid contact.
Sainz, Norris and Bortoleto drove into the safety pockets, Hajjar's front right wheel caught the barrier at turn 15 and turned into the pits for checking. Hamilton almost crashed into very slow cars in turn three on a fast lap. The traffic was really bothering everyone.
The record was headed by last year's race winner, Monegasque Charles Leclair, who completed the best lap in 1:11.964
