Mercedes missed flight due to Red Bull protest

After the finish in Montreal, Red Bull filed a protest against George Russell's actions, which is why the race results were not approved for a long time.

In the stewards' room, the Mercedes team was represented by Sports Director Ron Meadows and Technical Director Andrew Shovlin. The verdict was delivered almost five hours after they had been waiting for the results all this time.

According to Russell, as a result, both Mercedes executives missed the flight from Canada to the UK – they were on a regular flight, so the tickets had to be changed.
