Brad Pitt tested the McLaren Formula 1 in Austin
Hollywood star Brad Pitt took part in private Formula 1 tests with McLaren in Austin.
Next week, the F1 feature film is being released worldwide, in which Pitt plays the character Sonny Hayes, a veteran of motorsport who returned to Formula 1. Since filming took place during real race weekends, Pitt has regularly appeared in the paddock over the past few years and piloted a modified Formula 2 car for the film.
On Thursday, Brad Pitt was able to test his abilities behind the wheel of a real Formula 1 car at the COTA circuit in Austin, which has hosted the US Grand Prix since 2012. The McLaren team organized tests for Pitt behind the wheel of the 2023 MCL60 car.
The McLaren press service has not yet provided details, limiting itself to social media with one photo of a racing jumpsuit with Brad Pitt's initials and the caption "Sonny's Day in Austin."
