Piastri: I'm waiting to return to the track after winning at Spa.
At the Spa, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris delivered McLaren's fifth double victory of the season. The British team hopes to replicate their success at the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend.
Lando Norris: "I'm looking forward to heading to Budapest this weekend. It’s always a pleasure to visit this city, and the fans are very kind to us, so I’m happy to see everyone in the stands.
The team has had a fantastic season, so it would be great to achieve another strong result before the summer break. After last weekend, we held a briefing with the engineers and prepared for Hungary. I’m ready for another good weekend."
Oscar Piastri: "I'm very pleased with my pace in several previous races, and I feel like I’m heading to Hungaroring in good form. A few days in Spa were productive, and I want to keep up the same momentum.
I have fond memories of Hungary, as I secured my first victory there twelve months ago. But that was in the past, and this year I want to create new happy memories. After a win last week, I look forward to returning to the track."
Team Principal Andrea Stella: "After the double victory in Belgium, all team focus has shifted to the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hungaroring is a challenging circuit, but as usual, we are looking for opportunities and focused on improving.
The team is preparing for the final push before the well-deserved summer break. Everyone is working tirelessly, developing updates for the past three races to make the MCL39 faster. I want to thank everyone for their efforts.
And thanks to our fans, technical, and commercial partners for their support this season. Our goal is to perform at a competitive level this weekend before heading into the summer hiatus."
