While Formula 1 drivers are getting married and becoming fathers, Lewis Hamilton has not been in a romantic relationship for many years. In an candid interview with Belgian TV channel RTBF, the Ferrari driver explained why he is single.
Lewis Hamilton: "I had relationships when I was 20 years old. But then I decided that I needed to make the most of my time in Formula 1, because there isn't as much of it as it seems. I don't want to look back in the future and think, 'If I had spent more time on that instead of something else, the result might have been different.'"
"I focused on my work, especially over the last ten years, to get the most out of my career. When I finish racing, I'll be able to do whatever I want and not worry about anything."
"But right now, I am racing and fully focused on my physical and mental health, on driving technique, on being as good an engineer and teammate as I can be."
