Max Verstappen: Nothing works

Max Verstappen posted the fourteenth fastest time in the second practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix, more than a second behind session leader Lando Norris. The reigning world champion stated that his car has serious problems with lack of speed, and the team currently does not know the cause. His teammate Yuki Tsunoda finished the session eighth on the timesheet. Max Verstappen (14th): "Today was very challenging. The grip on the track is very low, and the car's balance is not ideal. It's hard to say exactly what the problem is since nothing is working. We need to find answers tonight, but so far, this isn't our weekend. I'm confident we can improve, but Friday was quite poor. First, we need to understand the root cause of these big issues with the car. Towel in the cockpit? It was on my legs and could potentially have fallen onto the pedals, so I veered off the racing line and threw it away. I think the stewards understand that." Yuki Tsunoda (8th): "There were positive moments in both sessions. I managed to improve in the second session compared to the first, which is a good sign. The problems I encountered are not directly related to the balance — the level of tire grip was not what we wanted. Tomorrow, we can improve with both cars, but before qualifying, we need to understand exactly what we are missing at this weekend."
