In Monza they expect to set an attendance record.

Italy's national motoring club ACI announced that all tickets for the race in Monza are sold out, even though there's still almost a month to go. The stands of the legendary circuit are guaranteed to be packed to capacity with tifosi, who, of course, hope for a repeat of last year's success for Ferrari, when Charles Leclerc, to everyone's delight, won the Italian Grand Prix in fine style. However, this year the team has little to boast about so far: by Ferrari's standards, five podiums for the Monegasque in 14 races is a rather modest achievement. Although the Scuderia sits second in the Constructors' Championship, it already trails McLaren by 299 points. Races at Monza often follow unpredictable scripts, though, so various surprises are possible, which only stokes public interest. There is no doubt that Lewis Hamilton will try to make his mark and will do everything he can to do so, for in his long career he has already won the Italian Grand Prix five times. But now, for the first time, the seven-time world champion will appear at Monza as a Ferrari driver, and everyone is curious what kind of experience awaits him. Last year, over the three days of the race weekend, 335,000 fans attended the stands of the Autodromo Nazionale, and the organizers of the Italian Grand Prix hope to top that figure or at least match it. As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, some tickets for Friday and Saturday are still available. “We expect a large influx of fans, and this will most likely allow us to surpass last year’s record attendance,” said General Tullio del Sette, a representative of the ACI auto club.
