      Nico Hülkenberg (10th): “A fairly typical Friday — nothing unusual. Overall, we are happy with how it went. At times the conditions were tricky, especially with the threat of rain — it was important not to make mistakes and to stick to the plan. That’s what happened.

      The gaps are incredibly tight again; every little detail matters. Ahead of us is data analysis and fine-tuning so the car will be quicker tomorrow.”

      Gabriel Bortoleto (13th): “A good day. Getting back behind the wheel after the summer break, I immediately felt comfortable; the balance suited me completely.

      Between sessions we made some progress, and tomorrow we want to add more to arrive at qualifying in optimal shape.”
