Hajar doesn't want a new cup to replace the broken one.
Isack Hadjar, who took his first Formula 1 podium at Zandvoort, accidentally damaged the porcelain trophy awarded to him for third place. The race promoters promptly promised to replace the cracked trophy, but in Monza the Racing Bulls driver said he didn't want a new one.
Isack Hadjar: "To be honest, I don't even know where my cracked trophy is. The team will take care of it, since I left the trophy in safe hands, both pieces. I know I'll get a new one, but I want mine, the cracked one.
Because the new one... I don't care that the trophy will be new, because it isn't part of the history of that Grand Prix. I'm serious — I want the cracked trophy, because it was part of my podium ceremony. The new one won't even smell of champagne."
