Alonso: I didn't feel the car was fast.

Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso posted the thirteenth and fifteenth fastest times in the second practice session of the Italian Grand Prix. Both Aston Martin drivers noted that the car currently lacks speed.

Lance Stroll (13th): "I have pleasant memories of Monza, so I always enjoy coming to this circuit, because the fans create an incredible atmosphere here. Today we worked well in practice, but now we need to study the data we gathered and understand what can be done before tomorrow. The team came to Monza with realistic expectations – on this track our car has both strengths and weaknesses. We are preparing for a more difficult weekend than in Zandvoort and Budapest."

Fernando Alonso (15th): "A normal Friday – the tyre grip on the asphalt was good, and the temperature was high. We managed to work with an empty and a full tank, but I can say that in both cases I didn't feel the car was fast. We need to work this evening and try to find a way to add speed."
