Hülkenberg explained why he doesn't work on the simulator

Nico Hülkenberg said that he has not yet worked on the simulator with the prototype of the car for the 2026 season. The Sauber driver believes this is the right approach, since it will allow them to avoid forming incorrect impressions of the new car at an early stage.

Nico Hülkenberg: "The process of creating the car is ongoing, so everything is evolving and changing very quickly. The team doesn't want us to form a mistaken impression of the car and incorrect reference points. I suppose that's precisely why the team is keeping us from working on the simulator.

To be honest, I'm not particularly interested in what others have said about next year's car after working with it on the simulator. After all, you get behind the wheel in the simulator and form certain impressions.

It has long been known that the new cars will feel different from the current ones. But when we go out on track in real life next year, everything will be new. So we'll need to explore, learn and adapt quickly to the new rules."
