Oscar Piastri received a race warning.

      The stewards of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix issued Oscar Piastri his first race reprimand of the season after the McLaren driver failed to slow sufficiently in a yellow-flag zone during second practice. After reviewing telemetry, watching footage of the incident and hearing from the driver, the stewards found that marshal post 1.2, which Piastri was approaching, was showing yellow flags while light panel 3 was showing green. Drivers are instructed that in such a discrepancy they must act as if yellow flags are in force on the circuit, even if they do not see it on the panel. In this case the driver passed marshal post 1.2 when the yellow flag was first shown and then saw the green signal on panel 3. The yellow flag was removed less than a second after the green signal became visible to Piastri. Nevertheless, there was a formal breach of the rules, but given the circumstances the stewards limited themselves to a race reprimand.
