Verstappen's manager listed the driver's conditions.

The Dutch De Telegraaf is called Max Verstappen’s mouthpiece — it publishes everything the driver and his close circle want to bring into the public domain.

This time Max’s manager Raymond Vermeulen named the conditions under which the driver will remain at Red Bull Racing after the end of the 2026 season…

Raymond Vermeulen: “It would be great if Max spent his entire Formula 1 career at Red Bull, but that will only happen if he has everything he needs to win.

Next year it’s not only about the chassis but also about the engine. And about which people will work on it and what influence that will have. The team will have to put together a difficult puzzle, so we concluded that it’s worth staying at least one more year.

Max wants to win even more titles. He’s not finished in that regard yet, but it depends on the car, so I believe 2026 will play an important role and determine his future in Formula 1.”

In other words, the team has been told the driver’s position — Verstappen will stay at Red Bull if they build him a car that allows him to win races and titles.
