Ferrari has been fined 10,000 euros.

The stewards of the Singapore Grand Prix fined the Ferrari team €10,000 for an unsafe release of Charles Leclerc's car onto the track during the second practice session.

When the session resumed after red flags, a Ferrari mechanic released Charles Leclerc from the pits into the pit lane while Lando Norris was passing there. As a result, Leclerc made contact with the McLaren driver's car, which, on impact, hit the concrete wall separating the pit lane from the team gantries and damaged his front wing.

The stewards' decision stated that the mechanic responsible for releasing Leclerc onto the track "misjudged the situation and gave unclear instructions to Leclerc, who could not see Norris's car. As a result, both cars collided on the pit lane. Given that similar precedents have already occurred, the stewards considered that this violation warranted a harsher penalty than had previously been applied."

As a rule, teams were fined €5,000 for an unsafe release onto the track, but in Ferrari's case the financial sanction was twice as high.
