Lawson: It's a shame we couldn't score any points.
The weekend in Austin didn’t bring Racing Bulls any points – neither the Saturday sprint nor the Sunday race…
Liam Lawson (11th): “I had a poor start, got boxed in at the first corner – without that I could have finished one position higher and scored a point, but the car simply didn’t have the pace today for more.
It’s hard to overtake in Austin; throughout the race the Aston Martin drivers controlled the situation – one was in front, the other behind. It’s a shame we couldn’t score points, but we’ll take this experience to Mexico next weekend.”
Isack Hadjar (16th): “This is roughly the race I expected starting from the back. When we worked out the strategy we chose a long first stint in the hope of a safety car, but that didn’t happen.
There are a few issues with the car we need to sort out. This year we’ve been strong on most weekends, but there’s a problem with ride height that needs fixing. Still, I had some good battles, learned a lot and will use that experience in Mexico.”
