Arvid Lindblad: I had a feeling that we would be fast.

In Australia, both Racing Bulls drivers managed to qualify for the final, although they admitted they did not expect to rise to such high positions. Special praise goes to Arvid Lindblad, the 18-year-old Formula 1 debutant, who achieved 9th place in his debut race weekend.

Liam Lawson (8th): "To be honest, before the weekend started, we didn't think we would reach these positions, so I am very pleased with the qualifying results. Although the first session was quite challenging, I was only able to show the necessary pace closer to the end.

It was difficult to drive, and I struggled to put together a good lap – I locked up the brakes and kept making mistakes, which, to be honest, could have been avoided.

We have a fast car, and gradually everything started to come together, and the positive aspect is that we saved a fresh set of soft tires for tomorrow. We didn't use it in the final qualifying session because all our immediate competitors had already dropped out of contention by that point.

It's great that we managed to save that set, and it's wonderful that both Racing Bulls cars made it to the final qualifying. I'm satisfied with the day's results, but tomorrow we have a long race ahead, and the new cars are still not entirely familiar and don't always work reliably – so we'll see."

Arvid Lindblad (9th): "The qualifying was really good. We have been competitive from the very start of the weekend, and I just tried not to get too carried away, as we didn't know if the situation would change, which teams could improve, and which couldn't.

But I had a feeling that we would be fast in qualifying; I just needed to focus as much as possible on executing my tasks, and that allowed us to rise to high positions. The team did a great job; it's fantastic that both Racing Bulls cars made it to the final qualifying, especially considering the level we were at during the tests in Bahrain. I think the result far exceeds expectations – both the team's and mine.

I am very pleased, and I can't wait to start tomorrow's race. As for the incident at the pit lane entrance, it was dangerous. We will analyze it together with the team, as we need to understand what went wrong. Fortunately, everything turned out fine."
