Kubica cautions Antonelli regarding social media as Leclerc takes a step back.

"I hope he focuses entirely on racing."

Robert Kubica has advised championship leader Kimi Antonelli to reduce his time on social media and fully dedicate himself to pursuing the title. In an interview with SportMediaset, the former F1 driver candidly shared his thoughts with the 19-year-old, who is currently at the top of the standings following two consecutive victories from pole position. "I hope he focuses entirely on racing," Kubica stated. "I sometimes notice him engaging in too much triviality on Instagram. Even though it garners attention, he shouldn't expend energy on that right now. His sole focus should be on winning the championship."

Despite issuing this caution, Kubica is confident that Antonelli has the potential to succeed. "I don't see any reason why he couldn't," he continued. "Formula 1 is a sport that entails significant pressure. He has managed a great deal of that in the past, particularly last year. However, he is surrounded by individuals who care for him, who have invested considerable time and resources into him and recognize his extraordinary talent. Now, he is repaying that trust."

Kubica's remarks differ from those of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who has disclosed that he has effectively distanced himself from social media altogether. "For many years, I was quite active online, but I realized that it altered how certain performances were perceived," he mentioned on the BSMT podcast. "One good or bad moment in my race could overshadow everything else. Yes, that prompted me to adjust my approach to social media. Now, I carefully select all the photos and captions because, for me, it’s essential that social media reflects something authentic. But I'm no longer on social media because nowadays, every action is scrutinized, whether positive or negative, and that affects me to some extent. I chose to set it aside. Thus, I no longer engage with social media."
