NLS: McLaren Timo Glock is designed in a recognizable style

The German team Dörr Motorsport will start the "24 Hours of Nürburgring" marathon in a McLaren 720S GT3 sports car, designed in the same style as the championship car Benetton B195, on which Michael Schumacher won his second title in 1995.

The car with the number 69 features German drivers Timo Glock, Timo Scheider, Ben Dörr, and Marvin Kirchhöfer, and the main sponsor of this team is the same one that supported Schumacher over 30 years ago.

44-year-old Timo Glock is a former Formula 1 driver, with three podium finishes for the factory Toyota team, after which he moved to the DTM touring car series and raced for BMW for many years. Recently, Timo has been working as an expert with Sky Deutschland and commenting on F1 races.

"Michael Schumacher's contribution to the development of motorsport in Germany can only be compared to what Franz Beckenbauer did for football or Boris Becker for tennis," Glock commented. "We are glad that his family also supports our project, which is why you can see the logos of the Keep Fighting foundation on our car and our suits.

Additionally, these suits are designed in a retro style, and after the race, two of them will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the Keep Fighting foundation."

Together with Timo Scheider, a two-time DTM champion, Glock won the "24 Hours of Nürburgring" in 2024 in the SP10 category in a BMW M4 GT4.
