Science: The first race of the season that brought joy!

In Miami, both Williams drivers scored points for the first time this season: Carlos Sainz finished 9th, just like in Shanghai, while his teammate, Alex Albon, rounded out the top ten.

Carlos Sainz (9th): "This was the first race of the season that actually brought me some joy! Today we really fought with everyone, as before we started from such distant positions that we couldn't even compete with the midfield teams.

But in Miami, thanks to a great start, we finally managed to get back to our previous level; I was in the thick of the battle and was able to finish ninth again. At the same time, we showed a confident pace and were definitely the fastest in the midfield. Overall, I enjoyed everything, and it was another successful Sunday.

We still haven't reached the level we want to be at, but we have definitely taken a step forward. This proves that when we do everything right, when we work hard and move in the right direction, the team is capable of making improvements. We are capable of a lot, and today's result is a clear example of that.

We need to keep working and see how our performance goes in the next few races of the season, and I hope that closer to the end of the season we can show our true potential."

Alex Albon (10th): "The race went smoothly; we had a good start, and I gained seven or eight positions in the first three laps. Maybe we didn't have the fastest car today, but we were still able to fight for points thanks to a set of technical upgrades.

I think we will continue to gradually improve; the team's plans include the next stages of car upgrades, which will be even more significant. The start of the season has been challenging, so it's great that we scored points with both cars, and that's a good result for the team.

The FW48 has potential, but it hasn't been fully unlocked yet, and we experimented with setups all weekend. It seems that the Miami track suits us, but now we need to shift all our attention to preparing for Montreal."
