Alpine has put into operation the latest simulator.

The Alpine team continues to systematically execute the points of its program to return to the ranks of Formula 1 leaders. This week, the latest simulator from the British company Dynisma has been put into operation in Enstone, which previously manufactured simulators for Ferrari and McLaren.

The main advantage of the new device is its ultra-low latency of less than 4 milliseconds and high data processing frequency. According to experts, the cost of simulators of this level ranges from three to eight million euros.

However, in Formula 1, it is important not only to have modern technology but also to properly configure the system, as incorrect correlation between virtual tests and the real behavior of the car on the track can lead the team down the wrong path in car development, as happened last year with Aston Martin.

The Dynisma simulator uses pilot-in-the-loop technology, which provides the most realistic feedback, allowing engineers and drivers to accurately assess the car's behavior on the track.

Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will use the new simulator in preparation for the Grand Prix, while during race weekends, Paul Aron and Kush Maini will assist the team in evaluating various setup options on the simulator so that the best ones can be immediately tested on the track by the main Alpine drivers.
