Lewis congratulated his brother on his first podium.

Lewis Hamilton's younger brother Nicholas races despite having cerebral palsy. As a child, doctors said he would never walk, but Nicholas not only defied that prediction but also became the first British driver with disabilities and is now competing in the national BTCC touring car championship.

This year, Nicholas signed a contract with BTCC champions EXCELR8 Motorsport, and last weekend he scored points in three races at the Snetterton round, earning a prestigious trophy and stepping onto the podium for the first time in his career.

Lewis emotionally congratulated his brother on social media...

Lewis Hamilton: "I am incredibly proud of my brother. Seeing the passion and emotion on his face when he stood on his first podium was a beautiful moment. For both of us to be on the podium on the same day is incredible. I called him right after the race ended.

Motorsport is not designed for inclusivity. There is no access for people with disabilities to racing, no support systems that level the playing field. Many take this for granted. Despite this, despite the barriers and people telling him it was impossible, Nicholas never stopped. He fought. He adapted. He proved them wrong.

Although he will always be my little brother, I am deeply proud of the leader, athlete, and person he has become. He inspires me just as much as he inspires everyone watching his journey. No matter how tough it gets, he never gives up. What he has achieved is incredible, and I am so happy for him. Love you, bro, keep it up."
