Ferrari hopes to make up two tenths in Barcelona.
The recent Canadian Grand Prix showed that the Ferrari SF-26 lacks speed on the straights, but it is quite fast in the corners and effective when attacking curbs. Experts suggest that at the next stage in Monaco, drivers from Scuderia will be among the main contenders for victory with such a car. Ferrari does not intend to rest on its laurels and is preparing a second major package of aerodynamic updates for the stage in Barcelona this season. Among the new features will be an upgraded front wing, whose design should align with the current trend of a double outer profile beyond the end plates. Ferrari engineers' calculations indicate that the updates should allow for a gain of about two-tenths of a second per lap. Additionally, it is expected that at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, Cedric Michel-Grosjean, who has moved from McLaren, will start working alongside Lewis Hamilton. Michel-Grosjean joined Ferrari during the Miami Grand Prix, but while he was getting settled in the team, Lewis's race engineer for the past two stages remained Carlo Santi. However, at the Barcelona stage, we should hear Cedric's voice in radio communications with Hamilton for the first time.
