Formula E: The first tests of the GEN4 cars will take place in Harama.

In March, the Madrid E-Prix, the Spanish stage of the World Championship for electric car racing, successfully took place at the racetrack in Jarama, and now the Formula E teams are preparing for the first official tests of the fourth generation (GEN4) cars, which will be held at this track.

Today it was announced that the Circuito de Madrid Jarama will host preseason tests from November 16 to 20, where the latest all-wheel-drive electric cars, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 335 km/h and accelerating to 200 km/h in 4.4 seconds, will undergo a full check on a real track.

Alberto Longo, co-founder and sporting director of Formula E: "We are pleased that such an important event in the history of Formula E will take place at the famous racetrack in Jarama. It is hard to find a more suitable place for the debut of the GEN4 cars ahead of the new season, and these will not just be tests – the motorsport world will see for the first time how drivers from all our teams will showcase the new generation technology.

The GEN4 cars are the most powerful and technologically advanced electric cars ever created for racing, and we are already looking forward to the start of a new era in the history of Formula E."

The full calendar for the 2026/2027 season will be presented on June 23.
