      Pierre Gasly made it to the final qualifying round driving for Alpine, while his teammate Franco Colapinto was eliminated from contention due to car problems…

      Pierre Gasly (9th): “I’m happy with the result and I don’t think I could have achieved more than ninth place. This is the best result for teams outside the top four, which are currently just unattainable for us.

      Crossing the finish line, I was thrilled. In the final qualifying round, I took some serious risks, hitting the barrier a few times, but in the end, it all worked out.

      It’s nice when everything comes together like this. We had to work hard, as the weekend had been challenging up to that point. At this track, you never feel like your car is perfect; we tried to change everything until the last moment to improve its performance, but in the end, it came down to small adjustments.

      Making it to the final, I just went all in! We knew how important qualifying was here, but let’s see what happens in the race, where, as we expect, overtaking will be difficult. But I’m feeling optimistic – let’s see how it all plays out in the race.”

      Franco Colapinto (14th): “On one hand, I’m disappointed – in Monaco, you always want to start as high as possible. But I’m proud of the team and the work we’ve done over the past few days trying to solve previous issues. We worked late into the night and made some progress.”
