Maserati Unveils the Fresh Look of Its Main Lineup

The key models in Maserati's lineup are attracting attention for 2027. The GranTurismo coupe, GranCabrio convertible, and Grecale SUV will undergo a range of updates, including revised exterior and interior designs along with powertrain improvements. While you may not be a fan of the changes to the brand's appearance, the enhancements in performance are likely to please you.
The main highlight here is the revamped grille on nearly all models, but the updates extend beyond just aesthetics. The GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo versions are getting a boost in power, now reaching 582 horsepower, an increase from 542. If you were hoping for a new high-power variant or a V8 engine, you might feel let down… at least for the time being.
Personally, I prefer the older, more rounded grille; the new design somewhat resembles Porsche's recent wide-mouth styling efforts. While it's not as off-putting as some of those designs, I’m not convinced it’s an improvement over the previous version.
With the updated design, the Grecale and the sporty twins now align more closely with the styling introduced with the MCXtrema and brought to life in the GT2 Stradale.
Inside, Maserati is particularly proud of its new steering wheel and clock, and there's also a new gear selector featuring “three-dimensional controls” in “premium metal.” While I'm no designer, I'm pretty sure they’re just called “buttons.”
For Maserati's audience of EV enthusiasts, all three electric Folgore models have received some enhancements. They not only share the same exterior updates but also feature new battery management systems that have improved their overall driving range. The GranTurismo and GranCabrio will offer ranges of 249 and 251 miles, respectively, while the Grecale Folgore now boasts nearly 270 miles.
