Sergio Perez: Cadillac is approaching the middle of the pack.
At the Austrian Grand Prix, Cadillac brought an updated car. At the FIA press conference on Thursday, the driver of the American team, Sergio Perez, talked about what he expects from the new features.
Sergio Perez: "We definitely want to make serious progress. We see that we are gradually getting closer to the midfield, especially in terms of speed on a fast lap. At the same time, we still have a lot to do to reduce tire degradation.
We brought new features to Austria that we hope will allow us to get even closer to our competitors. Once we manage to do that, everything will come down to the details. I believe that in operational work, the team has already noticeably improved, making serious strides forward.
I hope these new features will help further reduce the gap. In Formula 1, competition is high at all levels, even if you are fighting for 18th place. You are competing against strong teams and strong drivers, so it is important to make the most of every detail."
