Antonelli: The heat seriously complicates working with rubber.

If Kimi Antonelli was the fastest in practice in Spielberg, then George Russell only showed the 6th result, but hopes to improve on Saturday.

Kimi Antonelli (1st): "Today we worked efficiently and productively. From the first session, I felt comfortable behind the wheel, which is a good foundation for further progress.

The hot weather will seriously complicate our lives moving forward, especially in terms of tire management. It's important to try not to let the tires overheat, and we will continue to pay special attention to this task.

We gathered a lot of useful information, but there is still plenty of work to do. In the evening, we will analyze everything in detail and focus on preparing for qualifying, trying to achieve the necessary improvements."

George Russell (6th): "The first practice went great, but then we started having difficulties, and McLaren just flew in the second session. Of course, I was hindered by some technical issues, but overall the day went fine.

The car has been competitive from the start, we laid a good foundation that will allow us to continue working in the right direction, but the results are very close, and it's clear that several teams will be fighting for the win.

I know in which areas I need to improve. It's clear that the car is capable of higher speeds, and we need to unlock its potential – in the evening we will focus on that. The pace on long runs today was quite confident, which is encouraging.

This weekend, it's important to find the right approach to the tires, and we will continue to work on that, but the foundations laid are good, and we just need to work on the details. I have no doubt that we can make a step forward and aim for high results in qualifying."
