Laurent Mekies: “There are many rumors circulating about our team and its composition. Although we have commented many times on the situation with Gianpiero Lambiase, as he is one of our engineers in a responsible position and is now moving on to an even more responsible job, I don’t think it would be right to comment on every rumor that arises.
If we recall all the names that have been mentioned in this context over the past few months, we can see that most of them are still working in our garages, and some were never planning to leave.
Some have changed their minds and are staying with us, so I don’t think it would be fair to our people if I started commenting on this. Paul is here today; he has been working hard to prepare our cars for the track this morning.
We have made it clear that there is nothing more important to us than retaining our talented staff and attracting those we need. This remains our top priority.”
