Liam Lawson: The car makes a good impression.

The Racing Bulls team had a good start to the British racing weekend: on Friday, Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad made it to the final qualifying round for the sprint, where they achieved 9th and 10th positions. However, the 18-year-old championship debutant is not entirely satisfied with his performance.

Liam Lawson (9th): “The car has been really impressive all day, and we changed very little in the setup, so we’re starting from decent positions in tomorrow's sprint.

It wasn't particularly hot today, so we had to put in some effort to properly warm up the tires while trying to conserve their resources before the fast lap.

Thus, the task was significantly different from those we faced at previous tracks, but the team did an excellent job, which allowed us to achieve a good result. Of course, tomorrow we will fight for points in the sprint, and then we will try to perform as well as possible in qualifying.”

Arvid Lindblad (10th): “Both cars made it to the final qualifying round, and that’s another great result for our team! My day wasn’t that easy, as we had some difficulties with the hybrid system energy usage in the first session. But the team worked excellently and managed to fix everything for the second part of the sprint qualifying.

In my last attempt in the final, I didn’t feel capable of showing a competitive result, and I plan to analyze this with the team to understand why I couldn’t achieve the necessary grip.

Now it’s important to fully switch to preparing for tomorrow. I believe we will have a good opportunity to gather valuable information in the sprint ahead of the Sunday race. I hope that in the main qualifying session of the weekend, we can get closer to the leaders.”
