The stewards of the British Grand Prix reviewed Lewis Hamilton's actions after the race when he did not slow down in Turn 9 during the single yellow flag zone on lap 38. After considering all circumstances, studying telemetry and camera footage, the stewards determined that Lewis Hamilton entered the yellow flag sector before the corresponding indication was shown on the track, and by the time he reached Turn 10, the green flag indication was already displayed. Meanwhile, the yellow flag indication on Hamilton's steering wheel appeared for a short period of time. The stewards established from the footage that there were no yellow flags in the direct line of sight of the Ferrari driver, and the indication on the steering wheel remained visible for a short period. Nevertheless, a formal violation of the single yellow flag procedure occurred, so Lewis Hamilton received his first racing warning of the season.
