While Monaco often takes the limelight with its extravagant allure, Silverstone is the true gem of Formula 1. Not only is it the base for most F1 teams, but Silverstone also hosted the inaugural official F1 race in 1950.

Consequently, it has always been on my F1 wish list, and this year, I finally journeyed up to London to discover what all the excitement is about. I will be posting a blog about my experience shortly, but in the meantime, here’s a glimpse of the F1 drivers’ car park— as it’s referred to here— from the weekend.

From a multi-million-dollar McLaren Speedtail and a classic Jaguar E-Type driven by reigning world champion Lando Norris, to Isack Hadjar’s Ford Ranger, there was a diverse array on display for the enthusiastic British fans.

Mercedes – Kimi Antonelli and George Russell

Their on-track rivalry might be intense, but off the track, their vehicles are a cool blue. (Too cheesy?)

Cadillac – Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas

Checo was showcasing the Lyriq at the team’s secondary home, while Bottas opted to ride his bike to the circuit. I actually passed him on a rural road about 4 miles from Silverstone on my way to the track this morning. A good fellow.

Alpine – Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto

The soon-to-be Gucci outfit arrived in identical Alpine A390 EVs at the track. However, the bumper sticker on Gasly's ride definitely made me chuckle.

Ferrari – Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc

      Due Purosangue, per favore.

VCARB – Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad

Quite amusing to spot a Ford Ranger and Mustang Mach-E in such a prestigious parking area. But hey, sponsorship obligations are significant.

Haas F1 – Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman

My favorite lineup of the weekend by far: Ocon’s GR Yaris and Bearman’s Dino. They don’t need to be pricey; they just have to be excellent choices. Well done, guys.

Red Bull – Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar

A very modest Ford Explorer EV (exclusive to Europe) and another Ranger Wildtrack for Hadjar.

Aston Martin – Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll

DBXs for two, please. And don’t forget a scooter.

Williams F1 – Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon

Albon was in a very common Volvo XC60, whereas Sainz was cruising in a luxurious Bentley Bentayga.

McLaren – Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri

Lando made waves with his stunning E-Type Jag this weekend, but the enormous McLaren Speedtail nearby grabbed the attention of the most passersby. I’m not sure if the Speedtail was driven by Piastri or team principal Zac Brown.
