Formula 1 against online violence

Formula 1 against online violence

"There's no place for online violence in sports" – this slogan united the motorsport community in Silverstone as part of the FIA campaign. All drivers and team leaders, FIA and Formula 1 management, commentators, and journalists joined in.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, FIA President: "Online violence threatens our athletes, officials, and fans. It undermines the very spirit of sport. But together we can change this."

Kimi Antonelli: "Even if we are professional athletes, we are still human. Just because we are public figures does not mean we deserve insults online."

Fernando Alonso: "It doesn't matter which team you race for or what colors you support – everyone deserves respect. Together we can make sports and the world better. We need to work on this together."

Esteban Ocon: "If you start to accept online violence, you acknowledge that it is a reality, that it is the norm, and that is not the case."
