"Where it's not for me to disclose - even if I have the information."

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem has suggested that he might already be aware of where Christian Horner’s return to Formula 1 will occur. Horner, who attended the recent British GP for the first time since departing Red Bull, has been associated with various projects, including a potential twelfth team backed by BYD. When asked by the Oxford Mail if he anticipated Horner rejoining Formula 1, Ben Sulayem replied, "Yes." When pressed on the likelihood of a comeback, he stated, "He will return. Where is not for me to disclose - even if I have that knowledge. It is for him to announce." The FIA president also emphasized that he feels Horner's achievements outweigh any controversies surrounding his exit from Red Bull. "Look at his history," Ben Sulayem remarked. "Everyone makes mistakes, but did he deliver? What do you want? Do you want to win, or not? Do you want to take a chance, or not?"

Horner also acknowledged that discussions regarding his future have already begun now that he is no longer bound by a contract. "Certainly, there are conversations," he told The Times. "But until recently, I couldn't do anything due to my leave of absence. Now, technically, I’m a free man." The 52-year-old asserted that he will only return if the opportunity is significant. "If I come back, it will only be in a position where I can make a difference and win. If you're not in it to win, why bother at all?"

While BYD remains the leading rumor in the paddock, Horner avoided confirming anything. "A huge entity – an enormous company," he said regarding the Chinese manufacturer. "However, there has been so much speculation. I believe I've been linked to every team on the grid by now." He added, "I'm not in a rush."
