Verstappen's management is in discussions with Marko.

Max Verstappen’s future remains the central topic of discussion in Formula 1, especially following recent meetings that occurred behind the scenes after the Dutchman's intense British GP weekend. De Telegraaf journalist Erik van Haren reported that Verstappen's father Jos and manager Raymond Vermeulen were seen in Amsterdam meeting with former Red Bull motorsport advisor Dr. Helmut Marko. However, the details of their discussion are not clear.

Van Haren noted that Verstappen's future in Formula 1 is facing significant scrutiny, but no definitive information has emerged yet. This week, Verstappen also visited Red Bull’s Milton Keynes factory after publicly voicing his criticisms of the team post-Silverstone. An indication that the four-time world champion might still plan to stay with Red Bull until 2027 is that his management has already begun ticket sales for the "Special Max Verstappen Grandstands" at next year's Austrian GP, even though the date for the race has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, Red Bull is continuing to investigate the rear wing failures that left Verstappen infuriated following consecutive issues in Austria and Britain. Team principal Laurent Mekies stated, "We can definitely see in the data that the wing did not completely fold. It is a different problem than in Austria, but that does not make it any better." The FIA is also believed to be closely examining Red Bull’s innovative rear wing design after the recurring failures.

Additionally, Red Bull is in ongoing discussions with the FIA regarding the governing body's ADUO analysis, which currently categorizes Red Bull as possessing the most powerful internal combustion engine, limiting further development according to the regulations. Mekies commented, "We are still exchanging data with the FIA. We are making progress in terms of discussing the methods and potential differences. We have another meeting outside the race weekend this week, allowing us a chance to review the same data together."

Mekies dismissed claims that Verstappen's issues with the RB22 are not echoed by his teammate Isack Hadjar, saying, "I believe Isack perceives the same limitations in the balance. So we are not in a situation where one driver mentions A and the other states B. They are identifying the same issue, just articulating it differently," he added with a smile.

Should Verstappen decide to leave Red Bull, McLaren remains a potential option for the Dutchman. However, any such move would hinge on the future of Oscar Piastri, with ongoing reports suggesting the Australian is exploring alternatives to his current contract.
