Campos supports Tsolov for F1 amid speculation about Racing Bulls.
Formula 2 championship leader Nikola Tsolov is further solidifying his argument for a move to Formula 1, as his team principal asserts that the Red Bull junior merits a spot on the 2027 grid. Recent paddock rumors have heightened, suggesting that Red Bull may have already chosen Tsolov to drive for Racing Bulls in 2027, although there has been no official announcement.
After Tsolov achieved a remarkable clean sweep at Silverstone, becoming the first driver to win three consecutive Formula 2 races, Campos Racing team principal Adrian Campos remarked that the 18-year-old is demonstrating that he belongs in Formula 1. "He’s the one making the difference," Campos stated. "We provide him with a strong car, but he’s the key contributor. Everything seems easy for him, which is astounding everyone. To be honest, I truly hope he gets a chance in F1. He genuinely deserves it."
As speculation grows, Liam Lawson is working to restore his reputation following a challenging season last year. Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher believes the New Zealander has been one of the standout performers of 2026. "He’s done an excellent job again," he told Sky Deutschland. "Out of nine race weekends so far, he has scored points seven times. That’s really impressive and illustrates the strong atmosphere within that team. They’ve helped Lawson regain his previous form and have rebuilt his confidence, which reflects the positive culture in the team."
However, Lawson maintains that he has yet to consider where he will be in 2027. "Will I still be here in 2027? Honestly, I haven’t even thought about it," he said. "For now, I’m just focused on continuing to do what we’ve been doing, and it has been working quite well lately."
