Lewis Hamilton spoke about his training methods.
In the run-up to the Dutch Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton shared several short videos on his social media pages a couple of days apart, filmed in two different gyms.
On one hand, the Ferrari driver, who is in second place in the standings, decided to remind fans how important it is for him to maintain excellent physical shape, as indicated by his comment consisting of just two words: Stay ready. In general, "be ready."
But more importantly, the seven-time world champion provided several examples of his training methodology, as fans are mostly aware that it is crucial for drivers to strengthen their neck muscles to withstand longitudinal and lateral G-forces. This time, Lewis demonstrated a series of rather unusual exercises that allow him to train his abdominal muscles, shoulder girdle, and develop flexibility simultaneously.
These exercises use special equipment, such as a small platform on rollers, where he, while in a "plank" position, supports himself either with his forearm or palm and performs special movements with one hand while doing push-ups with the other. It is evident that almost every one of these exercises truly requires exceptional physical fitness, but modern Formula 1 drivers have always distinguished themselves in this regard.
"Two sets of 20 reps each," Hamilton noted, and this applies to each of the exercises. Such posts of his always gather millions of views, hundreds of thousands of likes, and numerous comments.
Here is just one of them, left by a fan: "It's hard to find the words to describe the feelings I have when I see you training even more intensely and better than yesterday. You inspire us, share joy, and show everyone your determination – this is championship-level training. Just keep going, Lewis!"
