Formula E: Zane Maloney signs contract with Nissan

The Nissan Formula E team has announced its driver lineup for the 2026/27 season. Joining Oliver Rowland, who will be entering his fourth consecutive season with the team, is 22-year-old driver Zane Maloney from Barbados.

Oliver Rowland: "I am excited to continue my partnership with Nissan for the seventh season – and the fourth in a row with the Nissan Formula E team. With the transition to GEN4 cars, we will see a significant increase in efficiency, which is fantastic.

I look forward to working with Zane, who has had an excellent junior career and two years of experience in Formula E, giving us a good chance to start the season at a high level. Our team has great prospects, and we aim to improve our results compared to last season."

Zane Maloney: "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to race for Nissan in Formula E. When I entered the electric series, the team won the championship with Oliver, so this is a great chance for me to join a leading manufacturer.

I spent the last two seasons with a new team, developing my skills and striving for the best results, and now I am looking forward to the next step in my career.

I am excited to be Oliver's teammate. He is a world champion, and I have watched his performances in Formula 2 and Formula E. Competing in the same team with him, I will be able to learn a lot. I am grateful to the Nissan team for their trust. I look forward to starting work and the opportunity to achieve good results together."
