      "The return of the German Grand Prix is back on the agenda for Formula 1, though both Hockenheim and the Nurburgring are downplaying any suggestion that an agreement is imminent.

      F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali recently indicated that Hockenheim could make a comeback "in the medium term," but also cautioned that additional investment will be necessary.

      Former Haas team principal Gunther Steiner believes that Germany's absence from the calendar is becoming harder to explain. "There needs to be a long-term strategy for Formula 1 in Germany," he mentioned to RND. "You know the country. If you focus on it, it will work out. I hope that occurs."

      Steiner highlighted the presence of Mercedes, Audi, and the broader German automotive sector. "It's disappointing that the country is not involved in the racing series. However, I don't see this happening in the near future."

      He emphasized that a solid foundation will need to be established before the Grand Prix can return.

      Hockenheim’s managing director Jorn Teske informed SID that discussions with Formula 1 are ongoing, but no specific developments have been reported yet. "As we have reiterated over the years, we maintain regular communication with Formula 1. At this moment, we cannot provide any new concrete outcomes or future prospects."

      The Nurburgring seems even less likely to host a race anytime soon, with managing director Christian Stephani stating that the circuit is already "fully booked for the coming season."
