The Haas VF-25 has a redesigned nose section

Official images of the new machine Haas F1 has not yet been made public, but the American team today held its run-in at Silverstone, and the first pictures in social networks still appeared. Italian expert Paolo Filizetti looked at them and shared his impressions on the pages of RacingNews365, first of all noting the differences between the VF-25 and last year's machine Haas.

For example, while the car's front wing configuration is very similar to what we saw on the 2024 VF-24, it's notable that the airflow is controlled in a slightly different way: the nose fairing joins the main plane of the wing, rather than the second wing element. Consequently, the flow flows around the body of the car in a different way: it seems to be directed more efficiently to the radiator intakes and less deflected to the sides. Another interesting detail is the fact that the VF-25's side pontoons visibly resemble those components of last year's Ferrari SF-24, with a distinctive channel in their upper area that directs air to the rear of the car. The engine cover is also similar to the one that was on the previous Ferrari model, including because of the location of the shape of the cooling system air intakes. The bottom resembles a modernized version of this most important element of aerodynamics, presented by the team at the end of last season. But the front suspension is based on pushrods rather than links, unlike the Ferrari 2025 chassis. It makes sense that Haas has decided to continue working with the well-studied engineering solutions that have proven so successful on the VF-24. The rear suspension also remains unchanged, but the location of the mounting points for its components to the gearbox is slightly different, as it has changed from the Ferrari gearbox that Haas is purchasing from the Italian team.
