Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia: Elements of power plants

      During the season, teams can use four internal combustion engines, turbines, MGU-H and MGU-K, two energy storage devices and control electronics units without penalties.

      The installation of the first element of the power plant exceeding these limits is punishable by the loss of 10 places at the start. The installation of the second element and the following – the loss of five seats. If the penalty is more than 15 positions, the rider starts from the last row. If several riders receive such penalties, the starting position depends on the qualifying result.

      The replacement of exhaust systems (EX) is also limited – only eight can be used per season, and subsequent replacements are subject to a similar fine.

      The FIA has published a list of powertrain elements installed on the cars before the start of the weekend in Saudi Arabia, but replacements are possible today.
