Let's be blunt. The Monaco Grand Prix, due to the stupid rule of two mandatory pit stops, turned into a second-rate comedy, despite the fact that the emotional intensity of the race already left much to be desired.
However, there is hardly anything that can be done here: modern Formula 1 cars are so long and wide that racing through the streets of the Mediterranean principality becomes an outright anachronism, although attractive in its own way. I'm afraid that's what the future holds for us.
In fact, everything was decided on Saturday. Of course, being a true Ferrari fan, I am not ashamed to admit that if Leclerc had managed to create a miracle, I would have shared my impressions in a different tone and chosen different words for it. Although Charles' second place in the home race can already be considered a masterpiece.

Next weekend in Barcelona, the new FIA directive on the flexibility of the front wings will come into force. Optimists (perhaps indulging in self-deception) believe that this will deprive the McLaren team of its clear advantage. Will Ferrari be able to take advantage of the situation and somehow bring Leclair and Lewis Hamilton to higher positions so that they can fight for relatively decent results? Or, unfortunately, will Maranello decide that it's time to switch to preparations for 2026, and all resources will be directed to this? As well as all our hopes, we will also have to refocus on the future.…
We will find out closer to July, but for now, despite all the adamant persistence of Max Verstappen, the dispute for the title remains an exclusively personal matter for the McLaren drivers – Lando Norris, who became a well-deserved winner yesterday, and Oscar Piastri.
Their MCL39 is not a car, but a rocket (look at how they drove the last lap of the Monaco Grand Prix, when Verstappen was no longer in their way), and they won six of the eight Grands Prix already held.
This is not the season Ferrari fans dreamed of just a few months ago.
P.S. Isaac Hajjar is impressing more and more, and Kimi Antonelli needs to rebuild somehow.
